Plant of the Week - Little Quick Fire® Hydrangea

Little Quick Fire® HydrangeaDwarf Quick Fire® Hydrangea!

Quick Fire® Hydrangea is one of our most popular varieties. It's the earliest blooming variety of hardy hydrangea; its white flowers have turned pink before most other varieties even bloom. The only problem is that at 6-8' tall and wide it can be a little too big for some landscapes.

That's why we're so excited about Little Quick Fire® hydrangea, It's the dwarf form of Quick Fire®, and has the same cold hardiness and early bloom of the original but gets just 3-5' tall and wide. It's great for smaller landscapes, and can also be used in container gardens.

Like the original Quick Fire®, Little Quick Fire® opens white and then turns pink. It will have a deep burgundy red flower color before other varieties even bloom.

It is hardy to USDA Zone 3, and will grow in full sun or partial shade. Those of you in northern climates may see better flowering and flower color in full sun. Flower color is not affected by soil pH.
